Understanding Sadaqah and Sadaqah Jariyah
While both Sadaqah and Sadaqah Jariyah are acts of charity highly valued in Islam, they differ in their nature and impact
Sadaqah
Allah (SWT) says in the Quran:
” The example of those who spend their wealth in the way of Allah is like a seed which grows seven spikes; in each spike are a hundred grains. And Allah multiplies [His reward] for whom He wills. And Allah is All-Encompassing and Knowing.”
Surah Al-Baqarah, 2:261
Sadaqah Jariyah
“When a person dies, their deeds come to an end except for three: ongoing charity, beneficial knowledge, or a righteous child who prays for them.”
Expanding Access to Eye Care
Since 2003, our purpose-built hospital has been providing free eye care to people who cannot afford it. Your donation will help expand our facilities, enabling more sight-restoring surgeries and specialist eye care for those who would otherwise face blindness.
Expanding Access to Eye Care
Started: 2003
Our Story:
Sight for Life is a UK charity dedicated to preventing avoidable blindness and restoring sight for people who cannot afford essential eye care. Since 2003, we have provided free eye care in underserved communities across Pakistan. In 2005, we established Jannat Aziz Eye Hospital, and through our hospital and outreach programmes, we make essential eye care accessible to children and adults who need it most. To date, we have treated over 1 million patients and continue to provide free surgery, treatment and vital eye care for the poor and needy.
We tackle avoidable sight loss caused by cataracts, glaucoma, and other treatable eye conditions. Your support helps fund sight-saving surgery and essential treatment, giving people the chance to see clearly, live independently and build a brighter future.
